EF SOLARE ITALIA JOINS GSE’S “PLANTS PERFORMANCE PLATFORM”

EF Solare Italia has decided to join the “Plants Performance Platform” doing by the Gestore dei Servizi Energetici S.p.A (GSE), with the aim of helping the operators in keeping up the efficiency of the PV plants and in increasing their performance.

The Platform is unveiled last May and it is available to all owners of subsidized PV plants with a power of 1MW or more, and includes many functionalities. It allows to conduct comparative analysis on PR among plants with the same technical specifications and/or situated in the same territorial cluster, visualizing the performance’s level of the same and by doing so spotting premature deterioration of modules and /or inverters, identifying the most efficient technical solutions.

EF Solare Italia is the first Italian photovoltaic operator, with a generation power around 400 MW, spread in 14 Regions. It operates on the Italian photovoltaic market as an aggregator and technological leader, acquiring and managing utility-scale subsidized plants, mostly of 1 MW or more of power. Thus, EF positively welcomed the development of the Plants Performance Platform by GSE.

In this first phase, EF Solare Italia will join with 6 of its 123 plants in its portfolio: a 4.9 MW plant in Lecce’s province, a 2.3 MW one in Rome’s province, and four plants in Syracuse’s province with a total power of 13.1 MW.

In addition to joining the Platform, EF Solare Italia has shown its interest recently in taking part to the Digital Lab workshops, set up by the GSE in the previous weeks. These two workshops will focus respectively on the modernization of the PV and wind farms and on the energy-oriented redevelopment of decommissioned public areas. The proposals by the participants will be joint in a paperwork that will allow GSE to develop further the Platform with new specialized functions.

We decided to join to send a message of coherence and transparency to the market– says Sara Di Mario, COO of EF Solare Italia – As the leading aggregator on the Italian PV Market, we believe that only by cooperating the operators will be able to reach the goals set by the National Energy Strategy. An advanced monitoring tool, such as the one that GSE set up, will allow all for us to share best practices, to improve the efficiency of existing plants and to intervene quickly and with precision on malfunctioning”.
