EF Solare Italia took part in the Annual Agrivoltaics Europe 2025 organized by Leadvent Group, an international conference dedicated to the integration of agriculture and photovoltaics.
Mariuccia Barresi, Head of Regulatory Affairs, shared EF Solare Italia’s experience in the panel “The Italian Legislative and Regulatory Framework on Agrivoltaics,” contributing to the discussion on the role of regulatory models in the development of agrivoltaics in Europe.
“To accelerate the development of agrivoltaics and make it a strategic lever for the energy transition and agricultural competitiveness, we believe it is necessary to act on three key fronts.
First of all, it is essential to define a clear and comprehensive regulatory framework, capable of providing transparent rules that strengthen the positive perception of agrivoltaics and ensure its long-term sustainability. Secondly, it is crucial to introduce dedicated financial support measures—targeted tools that encourage investment in innovative and technologically advanced solutions, making the sector attractive for businesses and investors. Finally, it is important to leverage international best practices, taking inspiration from the most effective European models to accelerate the spread and impact of agrivoltaic projects in our country,” said Mariuccia Barresi during the conference.
Agrivoltaics represents an effective solution to combine agricultural production and renewable energy generation, improving land-use efficiency and contributing to the climate resilience of farms.
