Inauguration event of a new agrivoltaic prototype in Ora (BZ)
Angelo Pignatelli, Head of Engineering at EF Solare Italia, took part in the inauguration of one of the most innovative agrivoltaic plants developed within the European project Symbiosyst, which aims to efficiently integrate agriculture and solar energy.
The pilot site in Ora (BZ) was built on a pre-existing apple orchard and features advanced technological solutions, including:
– Solar tracking photovoltaic structures elevated 4.7 meters above ground
– Semi-transparent panels with varying degrees of transparency
– Climate protection systems and environmental sensors for microclimate monitoring
With a capacity of 70 kWp, the plant enables the collection of essential data for the future development of agrivoltaics. The project demonstrates how technological innovation can be harmoniously combined with crop protection, promoting a sustainable model for both the agricultural and energy sectors.
