EF Solare Italia participated in the workshop ‘Best Practices for the Optimisation of Bifacial Photovoltaic Tracking Systems’ organised by IEA PVPS – Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme
On 27 February 2025, the workshop ‘IEA PVPS Task 13 – Bifacial Tracking Systems’, a high-level technical event dedicated to bifacial photovoltaic tracking systems, was held at the Sapienza University of Rome.
The workshop focused on best practices for designing, monitoring and modelling bifacial photovoltaic systems with solar trackers, a technology that is gaining more and more attention for its ability to optimise the energy production of solar panels.
Pietro Felici – Senior Engineering Manager di EF Solare Italia
Pietro Felici, Senior Engineering Manager at EF Solare Italia, participated as a speaker, sharing the group’s experience in optimising bifacial photovoltaic systems with solar trackers. During his speech, Pietro Felici illustrated the technical aspects and challenges involved in implementing these solutions, also providing practical examples of how EF Solare Italia is applying these technologies on its plants, particularly greenfield agrivoltaic and revamping and repowering projects.
The event featured talks by international experts discussing global trends, technological challenges, and economic opportunities arising from the use of bifacial systems. The day provided an excellent update and networking opportunity for developers, investors and professionals in the photovoltaic industry, with a particular focus on sustainability and technological innovation.
