Within Macfrut Fiera, EF Solare Italia participated in the new edition of the Agrivoltaic Exhibition organized by KEY – Italian Exhibition Group: a meeting point between companies, institutions and agricultural operators to accelerate the ecological transition and promote innovation in the agro-energy sector.
In the conference organized by Elettricità Futura and moderated by Sara Aurora Pellizzari “Photovoltaics in agriculture. Framework, Critical Issues and Opportunities,“ Pietro Felici, Senior Engineering Manager, shared the experience and future prospects of EF Solare Italia in the talk ”Agrivoltaics according to EF Solare Italia: Innovation, Integration, Development.”
The conference was an opportunity to present EF Solare Italia’s integrated approach to agrivoltaics. Co-design, attention to the landscape and technological innovation come together to create sustainable installations capable of enhancing local crops and preserving the soil. Projects presented include: the photovoltaic greenhouses operating in Calabria, Umbria, and Sardinia, with 35 hectares under cultivation and a 70 percent lower water footprint; the Agrivoltaics 2.0 prototype; and Solar Farms under development, examples of integration between agriculture and photovoltaics. Finally, the European Symbiosyst Project research project and the one launched with ENEA in the Scalea hub.
